maxresorb® is an innovative, safe, reliable and fully synthetic bone graft substitute with improved controlled resorption properties and outstanding handling characteristics. The homogenous composition of 60% hydroxyapatite (HA) and 40% beta-tri-calcium phosphate (β-TCP) results in two mineral phases of activity: it supports the formation of new vital bone and maintains the volume and mechanical stabillity.
The high osteoconductivity of maxresorb® is achieved by a matrix of interconnecting pores and a very high porosity of ~ 80%, as well as pore sizes of 200 to 800μm. The high macroporosity of maxresorb® is ideal for intense osteogenic cells growth and optimally promotes the regeneration of vital bone. The high microporosity of maxresorb® facilitates the increased diffusion of biological fluids. maxresorb® is not a mix but a synthesis of both phases.
